Job Description

Title: IOP Mental Health Provider FLSA status: Part-time/ Non-exempt Salary Range: $37500-45354 annually, 0.5 FTE Location: Basalt, CO Reports to: Therapy Services Director Please remove dates from your resume upon submission. Application deadline: August 28, 2026 Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate IOP Mental Health Provider to deliver evidence-based care through the Beacon of Hope Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This 8-week, in-person program serves adolescents ages 12–17 living between Aspen and Parachute. The program provides comprehensive, structured, and individualized treatment for youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, while allowing them to remain connected to their families, schools, and local communities. This position is a 0.5FTE for 20 hours/ week. Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate structured adolescent group therapy sessions focused on healing, peer support, and skill development, creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Lead experiential and creative therapy activities—including art-based interventions, mindfulness practices, and movement-based groups—to promote emotional expression, self-awareness, stress reduction, and resilience. Complete IOP comprehensive admissions paperwork and assess program eligibility to determine appropriate fit for participants. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each participant’s strengths, challenges, and clinical needs; regularly update plans based on progress and outcomes. Collaborate closely with psychiatric provider and multi-disciplinary team to support integrated care, including medication management, clinical oversight, and coordinated treatment planning. Complete IOP discharge paperwork, ensuring a comprehensive review of services and thorough planning for next steps following discharge. As needed, facilitate family support and education sessions to engage caregivers in the treatment process, strengthen communication, and reinforce supportive home environments. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies, state regulations, and insurance requirements. Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and mandated reporting guidelines, including coordination with external agencies when necessary. Acknowledge and adhere to all Aspen Hope Center policies and procedures. Attend all IOP team meetings and Therapy Team workshops, and participate in scheduled supervision with designated supervisor Represent AHC at one internal and/or external events during the year Serves on an AHC committee, encouraged Completes additional tasks as requested by the IOP Supervisor and Therapy Services Director Work Environment: There may be extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting with a combination of daytime and evening hours required. Work may involve exposure to high-stress and emotionally charged situations, to include interactions with high acuity individuals who may present as agitated, unpredictable, or combative. The clinician must demonstrate the ability to maintain therapeutic composure, apply de-escalation techniques, and uphold safety for self and others in all environments. Emotional resilience, strong clinical judgment, and the capacity to function effectively under pressure are essential to success in this role. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse mental health conditions Experience working with diverse populations and culturally competent care Ability to complete clinical documentation in an electronic health records (EHR) Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based setting Skilled in basic computer operations including the use of the Internet, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and general data management. Uphold personal boundaries with clients, practitioners and other agencies Ability to maintain composure, professionalism, and structure in any given situation Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times and adhere to the minimum necessary rule Credentials and Experience: Masters degree in counseling, psychology, or social work Active CO licensure or license eligibility, registered witih DORA (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD, PsyD) Willingness to be credentialed through various third-party payers, as appropriate Bilingual proficiency is a plus 1-2 years experience in counseling related role *Pay is commensurate with experience and licensure.
