Children’s Mindfulness Instructor – job post

About the Role: Veronica Moya is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced Children’s Mindfulness Instructor to help deliver mindfulness, meditation, and emotional wellness programs for children. The instructor will work with children primarily ages 5–12, helping them develop practical skills for focus, self-awareness, confidence, emotional resilience, and inner calm through age-appropriate meditation, visualization, mindful games, storytelling, breathing exercises, and creative activities. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and can make mindfulness fun, accessible, and engaging rather than presenting it as a formal or clinical activity. Key Responsibilities: Lead engaging mindfulness and meditation sessions for children ages 5–12. Teach age-appropriate breathing, visualization, relaxation, and awareness techniques. Use games, storytelling, movement, affirmations, and creative exercises to introduce mindfulness concepts. Help children develop greater self-awareness, confidence, focus, and emotional resilience. Facilitate individual and small-group mindfulness sessions. Support school, after-school, library, community, and family wellness programs. Adapt activities to different age groups, personalities, and developmental needs. Create a welcoming and positive environment where children feel comfortable expressing themselves. Communicate with parents, educators, and program coordinators when appropriate. Provide parents with practical mindfulness activities that children can continue using at home. Maintain brief session notes and communicate relevant progress or observations. Participate in workshops, special events, retreats, and educational programs as needed. Represent the Veronica Moya philosophy of empowering children to connect with their inner strengths and develop lifelong mindfulness skills. The role closely reflects Veronica Moya’s existing approach, which combines meditation, visualization, storytelling, affirmations, emotional-awareness practices, and creative expression. Qualifications: Experience working with children in educational, wellness, recreational, coaching, or community settings. Formal training or certification in mindfulness, meditation, yoga, children’s wellness, education, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of age-appropriate mindfulness and meditation practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
